The irrepressible Khan proved that he wasn't just there to horse around. Hah, pardon the pun. Salman Khan showed up at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse as per his commitement, and what's better … participated in a race too. The promotion event for 'Veer' fetched full marks for Khan, as he went on to bag a galloping win!
Sitting astride the stallion Wild Rose, Khan fought off a valiant challenge from professional jockeys and two amateurs to win a 600 metres exhibition race at the 'Hello! Million'. Incidentally, the industrious Khan had put himself through the paces, training many days prior to the day, to avoid any glitches.
Most are unaware of the fact that SK happens to be a trained rider and is pals with plenty of professional jockeys, whose expertise proved invaluable to him.
But the glory wasn't without its share of hiccups. The star jockey later revealed to the media that, "There was a moment of panic when my stirrups broke, but ultimately, it all went off well. I was nervous, but won only because of God's grace and I'm happy about that."
