Priyanka Chopra has done it again. The actress has shown that when it comes to proving her mettle, no one can be a match to her.

The actress who has bagged the national award in the best actress category has termed the win as one of the high points of her career.

Speaking from New York where she's currently, the actress says, "I'm really excited about winning the national award. The whole credit goes to my director Madhur Bhandarkar who showed immense faith in me. Though this award has given me immense satisfaction but I want to add that my best is yet to come."

With the win of this award, Priyanka has undoubtedly shown that she is the reigning actress of the B-Town brigade.

Actress Esha Deol is finally making her comeback after a long hiatus in a film being produced by her mother, actress Hema Malini. The Dream Girl has always been very concerned about her daughter's career and is finally taking matters in her own hands and is producing 'Tell Me Oh Khuda' for Esha.

But that was not the only comeback offer that Esha had. It seems that Yash Raj Films had offered the actress a leading role in their latest television show, called 'Powder'. It appears that Aditya Chopra was rather keen that Esha play the female lead in the serial. But Esha turned the offer down, preferring instead to concentrate on her mother's film, which is due to start any time now. Also, the actress was not keen to get into television in the first place. She used the opportunity, however, to tell Aditya that she would be very keen on working in a Yash Raj banner movie. The role was then offered to Dipannita Sharma, who turned it down as well, till Geetika Tyagi accepted the role. Anyway, Esha is looking forward to 'Tell Me Oh Khuda' which also stars Chandan Roy Sanyal, who was last seen playing the role of Mikhail in Vishal Bhardwaj's 'Kaminey'.

After her bikini stint in Sanjay Gadhvi's 'Kidnap', actress Minissha Lamba is back again. The actress who attempted to shed her girl next door image with 'Kidnap', would definitely have been shattered with the film's failure. But the actress had wisely decided to concentrate on the work that she had in hand.

Minissha had been roped in to play a role in Shyam Benegal's 'Well Done Abba'. The film stars Boman Irani in the role of Abba and Minissha plays his daughter. The film is currently doing the rounds of film festivals and winning a lot of accolades for itself. Like most actors who enter the film industry, Minissha too nursed a dream to work with Shyam Benegal and she was lucky to have her wish granted quite early in her career. Anyway, even though the film actually centres around Boman, Minissha has a prominent role in it. Incidentally, her performance too has been noticed and singled out for praise. While, Minissha may have wanted to prove to herself that she can do glamour roles as well, it is true that she made a name for herself because of her girl next door sweet looks. One is sure the Benegal's film will only reinforce that image.

Everybody wants a Bollywood star to endorse his or her product. The likely favourites among the males are Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan. But where it comes to the females, the field seems to be widening every day. Even though Aishwariya Rai Bachchan seems to be topping the charts where revenue and high end endorsements are concerned, she is closely followed by the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor.

Another actress who seems to have slowly but surely made her way up and has suddenly turned into tough competition for the likes of Kareena, Priyanka and Katrina is Deepika Padukone. In fact, Deepika is believed to have hiked up her endorsement fee and is now charging anything between Rs 1 to 1.5 crore, which brings her that much closer to the top three. Of course, Aish is not part of the competition as she is way too ahead of the rat pack. But Deepika has certainly turned out to be quite a dark horse. Despite not being able to replicate the success of her debut film, 'Om Shanti Om', the actress has been managing to make her way into the top banners. Where 2010 is concerned, the actress has some very interesting films lined up for release. There is 'Karthik Calling Karthik' opposite Farhan Akhtar, 'Housefull' opposite Akshay Kumar, a Yash Raj project opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh and Ashutosh Gowariker's 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey' opposite Abhishek Bachchan. What she has going in her favour is the fact that she can carry off a glamorous image as well as a simple girl next door image. This has only worked to her advantage in her movies and in her various endorsements.
