Now that 'Veer' is nearing its release date, script writer and the film's hero, Salman Khan has asked his producers to be careful about that the film's length. He does not want the film to be criticized because of its length and wants to keep it under two and a half hours.
While there is no doubt that the film has been made on a massive scale, Salman did not want the film to fall into the typical epic mould and exceed two and a half hours. In fact, he is quite okay with as many cuts as are needed to keep the film within a certain time frame. While Salman has written the film's script, it is also true that what will appear on screen may be a lot different from what Salman had originally written, some 15 years ago. The actor seems to have yielded to the creative process and bowed down to the superior wisdom of his director Anil Sharma of 'Gaddar' fame, who is believed to have had the final word.
