Rani Mukherjee was adjudged Best Actress (Critic's Choice) 2009 for her role in 'Dil Bole Hadippa' at the Anandalok Purashkar 2009 event held in Kolkata on 3rd December 2009. Rani played the character of Veera in 'Dil Bole Hadippa' who dresses up like a Sardar to participate in the Aman Cup, a cricket match between India and Pakistan. Neil Nitin Mukesh was also awarded the Popular Choice Actor Award for his performance in 'New York'.
Anandalok Purashkar is one of the most prestigious award ceremonies in Bengal. It is held to recognize excellence in film and television by Anandalok, one of the most prominent Bengali language film magazines. It is published by Ananda Publishers and Ananda Bazar Patrika.
