Mani Ratnam to cast Ranbir Kapoor

Post the success of his films, Ranbir Kapoor has become the darling of every big director in Bollywood. Now, the latest one to be smitten by his charm is acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam. Buzz is Mani Ratnam is so impressed by Ranbir's acting skills that he is planning to cast him in his next film which is believed to be in the scripting stage.

According to the information available, the film is titled AZAN. Though nothing is known about the female lead that will be paired opposite Ranbir, buzz is that the film will go on the floors by August next year.

It must be recalled that this will be the first time Ranbir Kapoor will be part of a film that touches a muslim subject.
