Arshad's Kaun Bola set to Release Next Year

Actor Arshad Warsi has enough reasons to feel good about himself and his life. The actor's maiden production venture, 'Kaun Bola' (working title), is complete, sold and ready for release. The film's release date has been pushed to 2010 because of certain delays. 'Ishqiya', another of his film, too will be releasing in Jan 2010.

The actor is content with the fact that he has been able to complete his film, whose title he would like to change to 'I Believe In Angels', which he believes is apt for a sweet, romantic drama. Arshad first conceived of the film while shooting for 'Krazzy 4'. As he began scribbling, he found that he had a complete script ready in six months. Much as he would have liked to direct it as well, he decided that it would mean taking too much pressure on himself and decided to entrust his vision to someone else. That someone else turned out be none other than Kabir Kaushik, the man who directed Arshad in 'Seher', easily one of the actor's best so far. 'Seher' was Kaushik's debut venture and after that he directed 'Chamku' which starred Bobby Deol and Priyanka Chopra. Making a movie is always fraught with tension and it was no different for Arshad who had to contend with rumours of his marriage to Maria Goretti breaking up because of his alleged linkup with Dia. That was on the personal front. Professionally, he had to battle recession and the vagaries of the London weather, which is where most of 'Kaun Bola' was shot. But now with the film complete, he can afford to sit back in anticipation. He is not too perturbed about the delay which took place only due to the delay in 'Kaminey', which effected the release of 'Ishqiya' and therefore his own movie as well. Now both 'Ishqiya' and 'Kaun Bola' will be releasing next year. 'Ishqiya' sees Arshad break away from the Circuit image that has been clinging to him for a while. He is cast opposite Naseeruddin Shah and Vidya Balan in a film which is directed by debutant Abhishek Chaubey and produced by Vishal Bhardwaj. Now with one film down, this actor producer is eager to begin work on his next production.
